Group Challenges # 5

Welcome back!  I'm posting our latest group challenge, this week's topic: Motion!  Michelle joined us again for this weeks challenge.  The 3 of us all took a different approach to showing motion.  Mindy used her camera to cause the motion, I used my flash to freeze part of the frame (before I broke) and then the rest shows up in motion & Michelle picked the worst day last week to go out and shoot traffic on 172 coming and going into Green Bay.

Group Challenges # 4

Here we are with our latest challenge, this weeks topic: Something New.  This week Michelle was able to join us again.  Mindy shot some new tutu's that she got for doing baby shoots.  I shot my lovely wife with her new "mommy" hair cut & Michelle's shot is of the newest building at the University of Minnesota.  Onto the pictars:

Group Challenges # 3

Here we are with another Group Challenge.  This weeks topic, Something Borrowed.  This week, Michelle & Brett joined in again.  Mindy's image captures an antique chair that was borrowed for the shoot.  I captured Emily (sister-in-law) enjoying coffee out on the deck in a borrowed men's dress shirt & reading a borrowed book.  Brett's is the money shot, haha!Michelle shot some books at the Public Library. Group Challenges # 2

Hello again!  Welcome to Group Challenge # 2, this week topic is: OLD.  Everyone took a very different approach to this topic.  That is the lovely thing about having a vague topic, it brings out all sorts of different pictures.  Brett & Michelle joined us again this week along with a new comer, Tony Wauters who recently just got into the DSLR game, so watch him grow as a photographer.  Brief description of the shots, Mindy went to a car show in Delafield (jealous!), I shot my mother's old 35mm Minolta camera (which after playing with it, I'd love to try shooting sometime), Brett went to Heritage Hill Park, Michelle shot her Grandmother's Wedding Dress and Tony shot his down in Kohler, WI.

Group Challenges # 1

Hello all!  We have changed up our normal weekly challenge to include some friends of ours that have been bitten by the Photog-bug as well.  This is not a contest, it is just a bunch of friends shooting the same topic from different perspectives to keep our creativity flowing & to help one another advance.  Our first group topic is, BLUE!  As you will see, everyone took a different approach to this and all came out with different but stunning pictures.  You can go to Brett Nooyen's site & check out some of his other shots.  And Michelle Allard joined in as well, who was so grateful to borrow me her wide-angle lens for my last car shoot I just did.  Enough of the talking, I know you are here to see pictars, so here you go:

Challenge Topic #12

Time for another challenge!  The topic was...nature/wildlife...and it was a little spur of the moment.  Tyler and I decided to go to the Wild Life Sanctuary in Green Bay.  Of course we brought our cameras along and once we got there we thought it would be the perfect place to practice and take on a challenge.  We yet again captured two very different images...hope you enjoy them!

Challenge Topic - # 11

So we are finally back with another challenge topic!  We will try to do these every week again now but we have been doing more "shoots" lately so we have less time to focus on our challenges.  Mindy also got a new computer YAH!!!! So she is back in business.  This weeks topic is SKY.  Mindy got a fantastic shot of the storm rolling in the other day and I shot the clouds at sunset off the beach in Au Train, Mi.
